Benefits of Offpage - By: SEO Tips

To improve your SEO rank and increase traffic to your site, you need to get more popular websites to link to you. This is called inbound linking.

Websites are ranked 1 to 10 for Page Rank; one being the least popular and 10 being the most popular. If you're just starting out, you're probably a 1 or a 2, but you want to be at least a 6 and who knows... maybe one day a "perfect 10!"Besides Onpage Optimization, to rank well in search engines you must optimize your OffPage factors too.

One very important point is to get as many links from different IP addresses as possible. The reason you would want links from different IP address is because recently there have been many abuses in this area, especially with spam and low quality content creating software which create automated pages that all point to the same site or pages within the site. Make sure the website is search engine friendly. Having a link that cannot be read by spiders is not really useful, unless that website has high traffic that will click on your link. Of course you need to know what to do to have your site top ranked by Google. You must know what this search engine likes and what it dislikes, in order to know what to add or remove from the web pages of your site.

Anyway, the most cost effective way of getting high quality links from authoritative sites is simply to ask for it. If your blog contains high quality content that is original and will provide valuable information to the site’s readers, chances are the webmaster(s) will link to your blog or even write about you! Of course you need to know what to do to have your site top ranked by Google. You must know what this search engine likes and what it dislikes, in order to know what to add or remove from the web pages of your site. Then, suggest that so-and-so content on your own blog will be a nice complement to their site’s content and vice versa. Put a link on your blog to their site and ask subtly if they might be able to do the same to weld a mutually beneficial relationship between the site and your blog.

I am not an SEO expert, but I have learned quite a few tricks from the gurus and believe it or not they are pretty darn important when you are first starting out. Use your keyword phrases throughout the copy of the body of the web page. Use them in natural ways. Do not overuse your keyword phrase. Avoid using hidden text. Try your best to include your primary keyword phrase at/near the beginning of your copy and at/near the end of your copy. Once, and only once, make sure your primary keyword phrase is bolded. In other words a high demand search term with not too many competing websites will receive a higher KEI than a high demand search term with many, many competing websites.
