Bears are scattered of their natural habitats across the Northern hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere where eight living varieties live. They are found in Asia, Europe, North and South America. The bears own a great body with stocky legs connected to it, long snouts and shaggy hair, with 5 paws and a short tail.

These are 5 of the living varieties of bears:

Considered as medium sized, they've got rounded shaped bodies than their cousins. Furs appear white with black ears and black teardrop circles across the eye area. the black mountain rock terrain and the white snow is mixed into by the panda with its black and white color from the its enemies. Bamboos consist their daily diet churning down 30 to 45 pounds of it everyday. The low nutrition in bamboo is the main reason why pandas gobble in excess of it to compensate thelack of nutrition that it needs. Pandas are seen at the top of the Yangtze basin to small remote areas in Central China.

- Grizzly Bear - A very powerful species that will easily overpower any animal in its territory. Weighing 1200 pounds and standing 10 feet tall, is the world's largest grizzly hailing from Alaska. It lives from 20 to 30 years old. It is usually found in the continental U.S. limited into areas of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington. Their count is 31,000 in Alaska and 21,000 in Western Canada.

The Polar bear is revered by the Inuits. It is sacred on their behalf to hunt polar bears and take care in their search showing utmost respect. But our ways speaks otherwise than their respected culture. Only 25,000 of them are left and scattered along the arctic zone with 19 subpopulations in which 8 are known to be declining, 1 is on the increase and the remainder with absent data.

These are the bears found in the forests and mountains of Europe, Asia and the northern part of North America. In the winter time, these bears hibernate into their dens and caves. The coastal British Columbia, Alaska and on an island like Kodiak are the places where the biggest of them brown bears are found. The enormous built of those bears is just not a hindrance to to run as fast as 30 miles per hr.

- Black Bear - seen mostly in North America, their diet is of roots, grasses, berries and insects. They consume fish and animals too. Black Bears can be colored blue black, brown or cinnamon or very rarely white.

Bears usually are not a threat to people, It is us who should show them the respect and attention. Keep alert if you find yourself travelling in bear country and relish the prospect to view these majestic varieties in the comfort on their natural environment.
