Standard CRB check comprises of applicants details related to their convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings held on the Police National Computer. Standard CRB check also includes the following details if the position for which the applicants are applying involves working with children or vulnerable adults. The application forms have relevant boxes to include the following details:

• Information from the Protection of Children Act List.

• Information from the Protection of Vulnerable Adults List.

• Information held by the DCSF under Section 142 of the Education Act 2002. The information is about people who are considered unsuitable or banned from working with children.

CRB Application

The information given by the applicants enables the authorities to scrutinize the form to evaluate the applicant’s candidature for CRB check.
