Basic Tips on How to Repair Your Spoiled Blackberry Curve Screen Effectively - By: J.J. Yong

The chic, sleek and hip new smart phone which is the Blackberry Curve is a great phone to own but is very costly. If by a strike of bad luck your phone gets into an accident and you feel your tears welling up, hold it first because you should check just how much damage your phone has suffered. In most cases, when a phone falls badly the only thing that suffers is the screen. If this is the case then there's nothing to worry about because you can change it and you can change it yourself!

Before getting started, make sure that the screen is the only thing that is damaged and that is the piece that needs to be replaced. You can do this by getting consultation at no cost at any mobile shop in your neighborhood. Once you're sure, purchase the replacement part; your screen from any Blackberry specialized store or phone repair shop. They might charge you a little more than necessary so you can check out online stores for some better deals and prices. To make sure you get your money's worth, look for sites that offer free shipping or allow you to self collect the item if it is within the area.

When you get the screen, pull out all the tools that are required and get to work. What you need to do first is to remove the silver piece that is around the screen, you can do this by using a flathead screwdriver and putting it in the ear piece, twisting it around gently enough to make the silver piece break a little. Once it's loose, you can pry the sides of slowly with the screwdriver. You might want to wedge a piece of folded paper under the silver piece so that the screwdriver doesn't scrape against the phone and scratch it.

When the silver piece is off, clean the area from dirt or dust and make sure there is no trace of anything on it because you won't get to clean it up until the next time you change your screen. Now take your new screen and remove it from the plastic casing and gently hold it over the panel and check that it fits correctly and is the perfect cut for your phone. Do take note to not smudge the screen or leave fingerprints on the underside because you won't be able to clean it up later.

As soon as you're done measuring and you're sure it's the right cut, use the sticky tape that came with your screen and fix it into all the grooves. Although it may seem easier to stick the tape on the screen, it actually isn't because you need to make sure the tape is placed correctly. So stick the tape on the Blackberry itself and fit it into all the right places, taking care to be careful so that it doesn't tear or gets clumped up together.

The tape may be loosely placed on your mobile, so use a Xacto knife to press it in and secure it in place. When you're done with all that, remove the adhesive from the tape and place the screen in place, gently pressing it down.

Voila! You're done and you saved a lot of money too!
