Bacteria that causes bad breath lives and grows on your tongue, especially toward the rear of it. When you are brushing your teeth, brush your tongue also and as far back on it as your can.

Commercial tongue scrapers are available or you can use a spoon. Pay special attention to any white film on your tongue but scrape the whole tongue. The white film is usually where the bacteria is that can cause bad breath.

Find a herb or spice that you like to help with your halitosis.

Chewing parsley can help freshen your breath, after all why do you think so many restaurants put it on the plate your meal comes on? Give parsley a try and see if it is a pleasant taste for you.

Many people chew cloves to help with their halitosis problem. If you don't like spicy foods, cloves may not be for you because it is spicy. You can try just sucking on a clove instead of chewing them.
