Cigarettes are not food all right, but smoking one of the quickest ways to dry out your mouth. Smokers are highly susceptive to bad breath!

Other inimical agents are the dairy foods creating bad breath. An article in "Los Angeles Times" once noted that over 50% of the population in Southern California was "lactose intolerant". With regards to bad breath, many of these people (numbering in the tens of millions) end up with more dense proteins available as bad breath fuel for the bacteria than those who have no problem with dairy foods like milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. The end result is a buildup of amino acids, which are easily converted into volatile sulfur compounds by the anaerobic bacteria found within the surface of your tongue and throat.

Natural bad breath preventers, such as, green tea, yogurt, vitamin D rich food should be consumed more.

Last but not the least, there are a few good home remedies that assist you in repelling bad breath. If you brush your teeth with baking soda, it is a good way to reduce acidity. Charcoal works as a natural purifier and helps to fight against toxins. Treatment with Hydrogen peroxide is very also useful. Gargling with salt and water is very easy and very effective killing germs.
