Baby Stroller Buying Guide - By: Cathy McGovern

There is no easy way of choosing the right child stroller. Some are better than others and there are many different types on the market today. Is there a way that we can find a stroller that is perfect for our needs?

The price and features of baby strollers can vary a lot. The quality of the infant stroller is something we should check very carefully.

Research Using The Internet

Has the manufacturer recalled the stroller for safety reasons. If so, you may want to reconsider. This is easily done on-line. Go on-line and check the manufacturers site. Examine other owners reviews on Amazon and find out their opinions on that stroller.

Ask Your Friends

Friends can have lots of important facts for you if you are intending to buy the same type of infant stroller as them. They will be able to tell you all the helpful features of the stroller. They will be able to tell you all the not so useful features of the stroller. They will be able to give you advice. Do not be afraid to ask around. Friends at work can spread the word and you will be able to talk to people directly about their experiences with their child strollers.

Go to a Child Stroller Store

This is certainly worth doing. However it can be of limited value.

Ask the staff in the store to let you try out a stroller. They are normally exceedingly helpful. Take the stroller for a walk around the store. Test the manoeuvrability of the toddler stroller inside the store. Will the stroller fit between the isles in the store? Test the folding and unfolding of the stroller. How hard is the stroller to fold? Can you lift the stroller? Is the stroller too weighty to lift? Is the seat easy to remove and adjust?

Guarantee

This item is quite crucial to check. If the maker has trust in the stroller, they will provide a longer term guarantee. This is because they do not expect it to break during the warranty period. Longer warranties are best. The warranty will ensure that if the stroller does break, the manufacturer will cover the costs of the breakage. There are exceptions to most warranties - ask about these. Check what is not covered by the warranty. Typical wear and tear is mostly covered by the guarantee. Thievery and some types of other damage might not be covered.

Renting a Stroller

This is the suited way to really test a stroller. If you do not already have a stroller, you have better options by renting. When you rent, you can try out lots of different strollers and find their good and bad points. You can try the stroller for a few days or a few weeks. simply do this short term as it can get expensive and you would be better off spending the money on a new stroller. Renting a pushchair long term can be expensive.

Internet Reviews

On-line reviews are a really useful way of checking out what individuals think of their baby strollers. People write their evaluations of the strollers they own so that other individuals can study them. Most people are honest about the evaluations and they rate the strollers on different features such as manoeuvrability, comfort, accessories, folding, size etc. Online reviews are a remarkably important part of your research into child strollers.
