Industries that are involved in the transportation of hazardous or volatile liquids and gases sometimes struggle to overcome negative public perceptions, particularly in the light of current concerns regarding the environmental impact of pollutants. Securing these weak points however, is perfectly feasible provided the right components are fitted using the most reliable techniques, such as butt welding. A reputable pipe supply company will not only have a wide range of products in stock, such as elbow joints for connections at awkward angles, and various types of strengthened flanges, but should also be able to create custom-made connectors based on drawings supplied by the customer.

Finally, all active pipe networks should be constantly monitored and inspected for potential weaknesses, damage or leaks. A contract with a 24-hour specialist mechanical response unit should also be arranged in case of any failures or emergencies.
