Audible Review - How To Find Cheap Audio Books For Your Mobile Phone - By: Jason Drohn

A while ago, I was driving to work and though, "How cool would it be if I could take this driving time and put it to good use by listening to an audio book?" So, I started looking. The problem was that everything I found was 'abridged'.

The problem was a lot of them were abridged.

With abridged books, information is cut out in the middle, giving you (more or less) chapter summaries rather than word for word readings. Not to mention, as trivial as it is, a lot of times I didn't like the voice that was reading the book.

I looked everywhere for full length unabrided audio books that were reasonably priced that I could just download to my mobile device.

At first, I found a lot of 'bittorrent' sites that I didn't know how to use. I had to download a file and then another downloader application... It just didn't seem like that was something I should have to do.

Then I found a bunch of other review sites that linked to audio book sales places that didn't seem that legit to me. They were poorly done and the cover graphics weren't what I was expecting.

Finally, I was listening to a Leo LePorte podcast when I heard him talking about an audio book site that he used quite a bit. The name of it was 'Audible.' When I got back to a computer, I checked it out.

It turns out that after you sign up, you get one free audio book just to test out the service! Sounds like a pretty good deal to me... Cheap audio books here I come!

You see, I live in Chicago. I have a 50 minute commute to and from work every day. After years of listening to the radio, I'm finally sick of it! A lot of times, traffic is bumper to bumper and the same songs come on over and over again.

So, what I do is download cheap audio books online, put them on my mobile phone, and plugin it into my car's radio! Why not listen to something educational or truly entertaining?

I know a lot of times I'll show up to work in a good mood because I just got done learning about techniques and business strategies that nobody else in my organization actually knows!

When my coworkers show up to work they are mad because somebody pulled out in front of them or they got stuck in a traffic jam for hours...
