Internet Marketers and business owners looking to implement cost effective online marketing strategies use article marketing to communicate and bond with their customers and subscribers at a level that is rarely achievable with traditional banner, email or advertorial marketing strategies. A very common way for article marketing to be used to promote a product, service, seminar or continuity program is to write a review of that product or service as the article.

In the case of article marketing and reviewing article marketing related products services and offers this author recommends an honest appraisal of the item. This is more important when using article marketing as the promotional medium for a number of reasons.

I’m confident that at some time in the past and maybe even in the future, you and I have or will be subject to being sold a product or service that, once purchased and evaluated ourselves, does not meet either our expectations or live up to the high quality the article claimed. We as consumer and marketers must understand that because buying is an emotional and not a logical action, it is possible that even if an article marketing review is very biased this will still result in your purchase reflex. Emotion is more powerful than logic.

Beyond the explanation that reviews are subjective based on the reviewers perspective, this biased, hard sell approach as justification for a one sided article marketing review is knowingly dishonest. The facts do not lie and I am glad that you are in disbelief as we may yet have a hope to cease this trust destroying activity. Internet Marketers are among the most savvy group of marketers on the planet today and their ability to track, trace and change based on market movements in real time is a level beyond any in history prior.

So what? Let us think about this logically for a moment and keep emotion out of it. If article marketers produce article marketing reviews of their products and services and they do not produce the desired results, given the authors ability to split test every headline, resource box, pen name, article site and style, why would they continue to waste their time?

You already know the answer, they wouldn’t. So logically this means that by writing article marketing reviews that do not have honest content they can be successful, and we are as responsible for the proliferation of this content as the authors.

Article marketing reviews are much like a testimonial in that they provide a recommendation to buy a product based on the reviewers needs and expectations. As article marketing allows authors over time to bond with their readers, these readers begin to understand your points of view, like and dislikes and will accept your article marketing reviews as honest and factual evaluations.

Consider this example as it is one we can all likely relate to. If you are standing in line to buy a movie ticket for the latest sci-fi blockbuster, and the previous sessions bursts through the doors with the excitement you are struggling to contain yourself, does your desire to see that movie increase or decrease? And what if you see one of your good friends in that crowd and she cannot stop raving about having to see it again? Is your desire to see it increased or decreased?

Now reverse the scenario in your mind. Can you feel that difference? When you are ready to make a recommendation to purchase, your results will surprise YOU.
