Are lower pay scales the primary reason why the Chinese are immigrating to Canada? - By: Dom Koup

Are lower pay scales the primary reason why the Chinese are immigrating to Canada? Though this cannot be said for sure, there is no denying the fact that laborers in China receive the lowest compensation compared to laborers in any other country. China has got a huge base of skilled and hard working laborers, but it is not the same in Canada. There is no doubt that the Canadian people are also hard working and they are skilled too, but the population growth of Canada is far behind that of China. While industries are increasing at a fast pace, the number of skilled personnel required are not.

This is why the Canadian government has set in place laws that permit skilled workers from overseas countries to immigrate to Canada. This country also provides one of the highest pay scales amongst other countries in the world. Add to this the fact that the standard of education is very high and so is the quality of living in Canada and it becomes easy to understand why more and more immigrants are shifting to this country. The Chinese form the highest percentage of immigrants that are going to Canada primarily because of the low pay scales they get in their fatherland.

Nobody wants to leave their country of birth unless and until they find something really special in a different country. How low the pay scale is in China can be estimated by the low cost of the goods produced by them. It is not that all materials required for manufacturing these goods are available in abundance in China. The main reason is the low pay scale that is paid to laborers. This might have worked for some time making Chinese products the most sought after in the whole world. But then, there is a limit for anything.

There is a certain limit to which humans can bear working for abysmally pay scales and it seems that this limit has now been crossed. Add to this the draconian laws that prohibit Chinese people with freedom of speech and freedom of communication and the picture gets complete. As far as the number of Chinese immigrants to Canada is concerned, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The number is all set to increase by leaps and jumps in the near future.
