You will know that it is a ripe cauliflower if you see that its florets have a creamy white to yellowish color. To those who do not know florets, they are closely clustered small flowers that make up the flower head of a composite flower. A healthy cauliflower should be firm to the touch florets that are trimly packed together. In addition, it should have adequate if not heavy weight for its size which would signify that it has a lot of meat and juice to give. If you see that the color of the florets is too white then that means that the vegetable has not fully ripened yet.

A cauliflower that starts to show brown spots especially at the florets section will tell that it is starting to spoil.

Where is the best place to buy cauliflower?

Well, it can be bought just about anywhere. There are many supplies of it in the grocery stores and vegetable vendors also sell them along the street or market place. While you are buying, make sure that you do not buy from stores that have obvious signs that their products are not sanitized. Like when you see a vegetable store near a stockpiled dumpster where flies keep on flying from the trash to the vegetables. If someone would eat those veggies then they would certainly get sick.

When is the harvest season to get fine cauliflowers?

This vegetable does not have one. Rain or shine cauliflowers can be bought all year round. This is good because there is no slack season where there is a low stream of the vegetable being supplied because it is produced continually.
