You might be that person who consider himself as a typical,average joe or average jane call center agent,and I know you are in desperate call for help which obviously lead you to this article. Well then, you are on the right place! As you read through this, you will discover the most effective and basic ways on how to build up your career in an upward direction.

Now, we both know that you can actually speak and understand basic english, and you have probably spent your quarter life crisis just mastering the right grammar,syntax and other mind bugging english rules, but the big question is, why are you still on that same old chair sitting beside the new agents?. So before considering another unproductive day in the office, pause for a moment, take a deep a breath and have a closer analysis of your self, understand where you are right now, where you want to be and then apply these basic principles on becoming that effective agent you've always envied.

First up....
Dream big!
Believe you will be that Boss! Visualize yourself on that executive chair, sipping a warm creamy cappuccino from Starbucks, being greeted with a smile and receiving your paycheck like effortlessly. Once your dream fully consumed you, create a realistic plan consisting of short term goals that will serve as your ladder to the next level. The process might take sometimes but with a focus mind, a burning passion to be the best and a diligent hands, your goal is as close as your breath.

Then, it will lead us to....
The Game Plan....
First, Be ahead of time. make it at least 30 minutes or an hour ahead of your regular shift just to feed yourself with the latest articles and projects of the company or your account. Second, be prepared! do extensive research about the product or account you represent, ( you do not want to sabotage yourself right? ) Third, Be proactive with your work ethics, abide on your original plan,but if it didn't work, don't delay, be aggressive to try another ways. Then, Be a reliable team member to your team mates, make them feel that you are supportive and dependable, sending them a signal that you are a valuable asset not just for the team but for the company as a whole, giving you an early status quo. And most importantly, catch your boss's attention, ( in a positive way ). There is no other better ways to catch the big boss's attention than an impressive scorecards! You can try giving them gifts, that might help a bit, but, an obvious excellent work ethics is still on top of his list!

Another thing to consider....
It is not all about the language! -
Surprised? But yes, it is true! most of the aspiring call center wannabes these days have this wrong impression of “ if you can speak it, you can make it”, but they are partly wrong, you've got to understand that it is not a plain talking, bore-to-tears kind of job, but, it is more of interacting! Sympathizing and Building a relationship! Remember that you are talking to people not machines, so cheer up,be attentive, address them properly and politely, and be confident of what your saying! In that manner you were able to uphold that good customer service ethics your client expected from your company and from you, placing you as an effective asset for the business.

Finally, I will end this preaching with this simple yet unusual advice. Please read it first before you judge my credibility to write this topic.

You've got to have some break!
You've read it right! Working intensively to achieve your goal doesn't mean that it has to intrude your personal life. You have to find balance or else it might take a toll on you. Once in a while you, have to find your center as an individual, your true self and your purpose, you can ponder through life, be with friends and family or you can engage yourself to a more aggressive, physical activities such as kayaking, mountain climbing or a typical outdoor sports like basketball etc. Always,always spend sometime filling up your social, spiritual and emotional aspect, because if either one suffer imbalance will take place and that might hinders you from excelling from your goals whether it is professional or not.

So that's mainly it. Simple basic ways on how you can improve your career as a call center agent. You might have heard it somewhere else, from a training or maybe from your TL or trainers, but it is still the best remedy for that old career problem. Unless you get it right, you will always seek this advice. So I hope you've learned from this and the next time that I will be viewed I hope it will come from a person who was referred by you.
