Is your dog tired of being stuck on a leash or in the house? Or more likely are you tired of having to take the dog out on a leash or him being in the house? An attractive and flexible fence option is an aluminum fence. There are several styles and grades to choose from. Available colors in residential grade aluminum fence are black, white, bronze, hunter green, and sandstone. Commercial grade aluminum fence is available in standard colors black, white, and bronze. Custom colors and custom styles are always an option at an additional cost. You are only limited by your imagination.
A very common and safe style of aluminum fence that is used for dogs is the Saybrook. The Saybrook features a flat, smooth top design and has spacing between the pickets of 3.75″. This pickets spacing is small enough for most breeds of dogs. If your dog is greater than 10-12 pounds he should not be able to slip through theses pickets!
If you have a dog that is smaller than 10-12 pounds, we have the Horizon style of fence. The pickets on this aluminum fence are closely spaced at 1.5″ apart. The Horizon will keep your dog in and other dogs and critters out!
The Saybrook and Horizon styles of aluminum fence are among the most popular choices for dogs because they do not have points across the tops of the vertical pickets of the fence. This is generally safer for your pet. If you prefer the traditional wrought iron fence look with pickets at the top of your fence, we recommend a taller fence so your dog cannot injure himself on the fence.
The most popular style of aluminum fence for all small or toy dogs is, our Doggie Panel Modification fence system. The “doggie panel” can be added to any of our standard styles of aluminum fence. The bottom 16″ to 18″ of the doggie panel modification fence has a spacing of 1-5/8″ while the remainder of this style of fence has 3.75″ spacing. This allows you to keep a clear view of your lake or scenic area while maintaining the security of your small dog in “his yard”.
When it comes to large dogs, the commercial grade of aluminum fence would be the best option. Dogs that are 100lbs. or more can be rough on a fence. With the commercial grade of aluminum fence, you can have the peace of mind that your fence can withstand any punishment that your large dog can dish out. If you have both a small dog and a large dog, the doggie panel modification can be added to the commercial grade as well.
