Alpha Lipoic Acid, a Powerful Antioxidant - By: Chris L

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a powerful antioxidant which can be used in the prevention of various different cancers. The most rich source of ALA is vegetables and meat. Studies on animals have shown that ALA passes very easily through the brain and protects sensitive nerve tissue. Due to the flow to the brain, ALA has also been predicted to fight all different kinds of brain disorders. The recommended daily dosage of ALA is anywhere in between 50mg to 100mg. Our bodies need ALA as it is crucial in turning glucose in to energy so our bodies can perform everyday tasks and functions.

Although ALA has not been tested as thoroughly as some other substances, the initial results have been stunning. Along with it's antioxidant power and brain health benefits, ALA studies have shown that it may be useful in aiding heart failure, human immunodeficiency (HIV), cataracts, and glaucoma.

ALA has few if any serious side effects. If too much of it is taken, there may be feeling of nausea or an upset stomach. A serious excess may lead to low blood sugar levels. However, studies have suggested that taking ALA does lead to a mild and relaxed feeling, and a more optimistic attitude. It would be very hard to actually get too much ALA that you body could handle.

As a vegetarian, I often worry about if I'm getting the proper nutrients it takes to be healthy. I'm always researching and looking for bigger and better supplements to implement in to my diet. The more and more I research, the more uncomfortable I feel. I just don't know if my body is getting everything that it needs to perform at its highest levels. When looking for a nutritional supplement that has ALA in it, I've only stumbled across one, StudyPIL. It contains 26mg in one serving. You can visit the website at www.studypil.com. I originally ordered the product to help me focus during my work. I spend about eight hours a day in front of a computer and often get that "foggy" feeling. As I continued my research on health, I found that StudyPIL contained so many of these cutting edge herbs, vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that are so hard to find anywhere else. When looking up the ingredients in StudyPIL, I've found that so many of them are as potent as ALA in fighting illness and helping people stay sharp. I feel much more comfortable taking StudyPIL in the morning than any other multi vitamin. Not only did StudyPIL help with my lack of consistent focus, it has me feeling energized and optimistic about my day. Amazing what a few pills can do! I highly recommend that you pick yourself up a bottle of StudyPIL. Best of luck in your quest for health and happiness.
