One of the primary problems with Austin, if you're, is the propensity of allergens in the entire region. While some places have allergies that can affect people in only certain weeks, Austin is likely to inflict torture in the form of allergies for months on end, depending on the allergy.

The fun begins in spring when everything that was dormant for the wintertime comes back to existence and starts flowering all over again. This can start as soon as February in years when winter is exceptionally mild. These allergies can stretch from once they first open up when winter through October or even whenever everything stops growing.

Like all areas, there are specific substances that drive people crazy probably the most. In Austin, the two most often complained of allergens are generally cedar and ragweed. Ragweed is also referred to as Hay fever and is specially vicious in the Austin tx area.

Cedar

Cedar shrubs, or junipers, are that plague of trees. They use up groundwater much faster than native trees and tend to be poor firewood. In addition, they are a very poor food source for animals. As if the effects with the cedar on the natural landscape aren't enough reason to dislike these shrubs, their effect on people during allergy season is a lot of.

From December through February, a plethora of people in the Austin area are afflicted with an itchy, runny face; sneezing; nasal blockage; excessive tearing and itchy big eyes. .
You wouldn't think that will Japan and central Texas can have much in common. They clearly have varies greatly landscapes. They are virtually polar opposites in cuisine and culture. And even the best English-speakers from Japan have to listen very carefully to understand Texas speech.

A typical health condition in both locations, however, is allergy to cedar fever. Termed "kafunso" in Japan even though "cedar fever" in Texas, approximately 10 million people in both locations are afflicted by tree pollen allergies inside winter and early springtime.

Cedar and juniper trees are abundant in both locations. Japan planted cedars to reforest hills burned during wartime. Texans planted "cedars" to replace trees eaten by lots of goats. Both locations have vast areas covered by a single kind with fast-growing tree, about 12 % of the total land surface of Japan, and about 12 per cent of the total stretch of land surface of Texas.

The symptoms of tree pollen allergies are likened to having a non-infectious case of flu for six to eight weeks each year. And it's very hard to function if you have to take antihistamines and nose sprays with the long.

Treating sapling pollen allergies with allergy shots

Since the 1960's, Texans have ended up getting treatment for tree pollen allergies with allergic desensitization shots. Japanese allergy sufferers will be able to get the treatment with 2014, but this is not necessarily a good thing.

"Allergy shots" are generally around since 1910. The idea behind the method is that if the body is confronted with an extremely tiny number of the offending substance as a result of injection, it won't answer.
