All things you should consider before choosing the right Jitsu Gi. - By: article3

In the last couple of years, Jiu Jitsu or Mixed Martial Arts has become more and more well-liked. Also with it becoming more established a lot of people are starting to fight in JJ competitions. But every good fighter needs a Jiu Jitsu Gi or Jiu Jitsu Kimono as important addition to their kit. Custom Jiu Jitsu Gi is suggested for a combatant to reach greatest performance.

BJJ Gi is best in grappling in a longer period, as it is more resistant to tear. BJJ Gi is unlike judo conventional kimono, for it has firm or tighter slit which is favorable in achieving ground fights and that makes choking harder. Having BJJ Gis by now is good but it is better to have Custom Jiu jitsu Gi which is more suitable for you for it has a measurement, that is fit and exact to your body which allows you to move freely doing other combating techniques.

If a fighter plans to buy a custom-made outfit, they need to know what their measurements are. As a tip, do not take your measurements by yourself alone, instead ask others to do so, in order to make sure it fits properly. Most importantly, you have to specifically tell the designer of the design and other specifications needed for the custom Jiu Jitsu Gi. There are these Gi jackets which are made entirely from rip stop and pearl/ gold weaves in single or double. Here are the different weaves with different characteristic for custom Jiu Jitsu Gi.
Single weave: least durable, light and flexible.
Double weave: most durable, heavy and make harder to move because less flexibility.
Hybrid/gold/platinum weave: it is a compromise between single weave and double weave.
Other special weaves: summer (better for hot climate), competition (harder to grab)

On the other hand, the custom Jiu Jitsu Gi, that you are going to buy, must follow the styles and designs that will satisfy you. There are two main cuts of Gi, the Competition cut and the Loose cut. The competition cut has a more modified fit and is shorter on the trousers and back skirt. It gives the opponent less stuff to hold and grasp, because of its being fit to the combatant's body. Shifting to the loose cut, characteristics given by its name, it's slit is loose and so you will sense its loose-fitting quality. It gives more room to move around, when transitioning between different moves and attacks.

Type of fabric, materials, lining of lapel, waist drawstring, weight, any branding and embroidery should be carefully considered while designing your very own custom Jiu Jitsu Gi. A good needle craft will give additional touch of fashion upon your branding implementations. While the needlework is stitched into the cloth, it is more everlasting than painted material, which can become unclear over a lot of washes.

In the Jiu Jitsu competition, one combatant is normally asked to wear blue gloves and the other fighter is asked to wear a pair of red glove, so that arbitrator and spectator know who gets the point. It is for the sake of distinction between two fighters. A custom Jiu Jitsu Gi can also provide this pair of glove.

In a Jiu Jitsu battle, the combatant must feel the comfort and convenience in the kimono he is wearing, because it can shape his performance. Plus the comfort needed by the combatant is what custom Jiu Jitsu Gi provides.
