Bass masters tournament has a top prize of 500,000 US dollars while the Wal-Mart FLW tournament prize is worth 1 million US dollars. Bass fishing competitions have spread in other countries such as Australia, South Africa, and Japan.

Grub Length and Weight: The depth of the water will decide the head weight that should be used when grabbing the bass fish. When in deep water, use the lightest grub - it can take longer to drop and smallmouth bass fish will take shorter grubs. Use the 2/16 to 2/8 ounce head grub jigs.

How to use tube bait
i. Insert light leaded head jig with 3/0 hook into the body.
ii. Let the tube bait fall in the total slack line.
iii. Drop and lift twice or thrice and reel back.
iv. Sit on the tube bail bottom and gently rise.

Soft Plastic stick back: The soft plastic stick back is productive throughout fall and spring. Baits like shadow, Fin-s and Slug-go are good.

Equipment: Use equalize shank 5/0 or 4/0 large gap hook for hook penetration and better action. Lure and line helps extremely in controlling powerful big fish.
Plastic Worms: Plastic worms are considered as the most useful lure for small fish. Worms are effective in above 60 degree of warm water and the more familiarity with the worm, the more fish will bite.

Jig: The jig is one of productive baits in clear water, and below sixty-degree water. Jig is a heavy lead-headed tube bait with single hook.

Weight: The lighter the weight of the fish, the more action the worm will have. Needle weight nose are excellent for rocks, gravel, and vegetation.

Choosing colors and style: Style and color makes big difference in fishing so always bring different styles, lengths, colors, and good supply for different worms.

Bait casting Reels: The Bait casting reel gives the lure a better accuracy and control for 15 pounds and heavier fish. It has tendency to snarl or backlash when spoon rotates faster.
