Advanced Natal Astrology Using Asteriods For Hidden Details - By: Absolutely Psychic

Introduction: Asteroids in Natal Delineation

Encountering the notion of adding some 50 asteroids (and 8 transneptunian

points) to a natal chart can have your Brain replying, "NOT" in a heartbeat!

Your mission (should you choose to accept it,) is to present the idea as

sufficiently attractive and rewarding to surmount the learning hurdles.

There are a number of "information management" techniques to use to minimize

information overload. As you begin, you can select just two or three of

particular interest, adding others as you become comfortable. You can use

"Aspect Pattern Analysis," so that you diagram all points in aspect to a

single point in the chart. You can enter the chart on a 15-degree "Event

Wheel" (not a dial,) or move to 90-degree actual dials. All of these

simplify the addition and management of more chart factors.

A chart with TNPs and 50 asteroids on it DOES look complex at first. If you

think of it as a "Life Clock" where even the minutes are noted, the initial

complexity dissolves. I think that interest in and use of these points and

some of the more sophisticated techniques in astrology is a reflection of

what you expect to find in a chart. If you expect to find and are satisfied

with "general inclinations," (or if you don't REALLY want to "know,") then

the asteroids are probably not for you. If, on the other hand, you think

(demand) that astrology as a system is able to speak with clarity, accuracy

and DETAIL--(and are ready internally to deal with that detail and have life

experiences validated, confirmed and articulated)--then, you'll find a way to

learn the asteroids...and much faster than you think!

Tempt yourself with the possibilities! Imagine being able to find even FINE

event, behavioral and psychological detail in a chart. And it isn't "Rocket

Science;" you already know about signs, and houses and aspects. When you add

asteroids, all ya' have to do is get the range of meanings of each one...and

plug that into your existing mental database.

For instance, Nicole Brown Simpson has the asteroid, Amor, in 12 Pisces

natally. Amor stands for BOUNDARIES, THE DEFINITION OF LOVE, AND WHAT ONE

BELIEVES ABOUT LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE. It's the "conditions" one perceives in

connection with acceptance. So, if Amor is boundaries and Pisces dissolves

boundaries, what are you thinking? Amor in Pisces "defines love" and feels

that the "conditions for being loved" have to do with: victimization,

glamour, dependency, exploitation, sorrow, compassion, empathy and secrecy.

(And you could plug in any number of other Pisces themes.) In her natal

chart, Amor at her Ascendant carries waning squares from the asteroids, Toro,

Urania and Sisyphus. Toro is an indication for aggression, strength,

machismo, intimidation and "brutality." While it can indicate astrology,

Urania's aspects show one's biases or mental-rational distortions...so we

might say: her need for love and her understanding of love (that includes the

"scare" of Toro) KEEP HER FROM SEEING AND THINKING CLEARLY AND RATIONALLY.

When we add Sisyphus, we know that "it" (whatever is shown by Sisyphus'

aspects, sign and house) happens over and over--that, like Sisyphus, one can

be "knocked down but get back up and try again." A person's life makes utter

sense when you really see their chart.

So, as you can see, asteroids CLARIFY and REFINE. Try it yourself. Her

chart has an Orpheus (21 Gemini) - Lilith (22 Sag conjunct her MC)

opposition. Orpheus stands for--among other things--death; Lilith represents

(again, among other things) jealousy. Lilith is retrograde (thus: passive

projection, others, etc.) What does this asteroid opposition tell you?

Her chart is rife with wonderful examples. So is YOUR chart!

We'll use the chat time on January 26th, 6-8:00 EST, to try to give some

cursory answers to questions about aspects between asteroids, TNPs and

planets, and you may want to have "the kit" to get started.

The chat "kit" will include:

- a copy of Nicole Brown Simpson's chart (in 360

conventional format so you can see what a chart looks like with the asteroids

and TNPs entered--or have a basis for questions,)

- a questionaire (for your own use--to help you pinpoint which asteroids and

TNPs you want to investigate first,) and the list of natal asteroids for your chart.

A final inducement: Nicole's Amor is squared by...and the retrograde Toro in

her chart opposes... the asteroid, Hopi---> which stands for "minorities,

ambush, attack and knives."
