Acnes are prominent eruptions or inflammations that appear on the skin and create ugly marks or patches on the skin. These pimples or acne are caused as a result of excess secretion of sebum from the sebaceous glands which are unable to make its way out of the skin pores. Non-inflammatory acnes are also referred to as comedonals and there are various treatment options available for their removal like the use of benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acids, azelaic acid and topical retinoid. These retinoid and benzoyl peroxide is also effective in removing papulo-pastular acnes which are moderate inflammations on the skin. However, consulting a dermatologist is considered mandatory before investing on an acne removal product to ensure protection of the skin form any form of side effects.
