Why should one own an original new painting? To leave a legacy, to support this artistic movement, to show off one's own good tastes? This new painting will resemble the first one that got away, but it will be unique in the your instructions to the artist will change the result to some sort of slightly different color scheme and size of the canvas. There, now your brand-new set of two paintings are just one week away with being fulfilled. You go home and rearrange furniture and your previous artwork, clearing space for your original pair of work. The day has come. Your perfect couple of paintings hangs upon your expanse of wall that you've chosen, the monitor lighting is securely hung to light it correctly, and the guests have arrived to share with you your joy. The wait was worth it. And you are already thinking ahead to your holidays and beyond, musing about it. But first, you savor this perfect day along with the addition of beauty to your house.

Abstract art uses various elements like colors, shapes, light, and lines to bring a painting to existence. When textures are added to this art form the painting becomes a magnificent piece of art that can never be recreated and it is an original unto again.

There are various ways to add texture to your painting including simulated texture and actual texture. Both of these forms can be intermingled or used independently to create a sought after effect.

Simulated texture and consistancy

This can be a simulation of texture as soon as there really isn't every there. It is a visual effect created on the flat surface. You may have seen such a simulated texture when viewing a painting that has a series of lines that look very like a ripple, or can have seen a painting where the lines seem to get out at you.

This form of painting is actually giving the illusion of texture and consistancy. This is accomplished using the principles and elements involving design.
