A modern wedding favour - By: Charlie Board

When one of the most important moments of our lives comes around, we want everything to be perfect, the dress, the flowers, the cake and of course the always traditional wedding favours. The problem, however can sometimes be deciding what to choose, especially when it comes to the wedding favours as there is so much on the market in all different shapes and sizes that it makes it difficult to come to a final decision.

Some opt for the traditional sugared almonds for the woman and cigars for the men others choose something a little more original such as scented candles of miniature photo frames, but many never think about just what happens to this special gift after the big day. The truth is, although they obviously serve to bring detail and design to your wedding, to a certain extent they can often be seen as a waste of money in the sense that the majority end up in the bin or in everybody’s bottom drawer, lost or forgotten.

There are of course other, more charitable options such as donations to a charity of your choice. It is an option that is becoming more and more popular with the bride and groom ordering charity badges and giving them out as wedding favours perhaps with a note attached informing the guests that a donation has been made in their name. It seems to be popular amongst guests who proudly wear their charity badges and at the same time make a donation to a charity, something that otherwise they would never have done. It is a modern alternative and a wonderful way to help out the less fortunate or remember a loved one on your special day.

At Lyons Presentations we can provide you with everything from keyrings or enamel or button badges to charity badges.
