A Scrapbook for the Baby - 10 Tips for Creating Beautiful Baby Memory Books - By: Emma Taylor

You have just become the proud parent of your new baby. You will want to remember this unique event in creating a scrapbook for the baby. It’s easy and great fun to find creative ideas for a memory book for your new offspring.

Choosing the Album
The first thing that you need to think about when it come to making an album baby is how detailed you would like the scrapbook to be. There is a wide range of different sizes you can choose from when it comes to selecting albums, so if it is going to be very detailed that you consider a larger size, such as the popular 12 x 12 album size.

Getting Organised
When you start organizing and planning all the scrapbooking ideas you might want to start from the very beginning - such as when you were pregnant. Some women go so far as to save every detail of their pregnancy month by month.
Pictures of the birth may be included, but some people may consider that to be too personal. It does depend on who you will be sharing your scrapbook with.

After the Birth
Once the baby has been born, get lots of pictures of the mother with the newborn baby.
Include cards that family and friends sent congratulating you on the news, and were sent along with flowers and any gifts. A copy of the birth certificate can be included.

You need to identify how long a period of time the album will span. You could make the scrapbook about the baby’s first year, or if you have a lot of pictures and collect a lot of mementos, you might want to make it a shorter time period, like 6 months.

To personalize the album for the baby’s individuality, pick a shade of cardstock. There are masses of stickers and embellishments available with a baby theme. Include the baby’s name in your page titles, and have the baby’s name embossed on the cover.
