Success and gratitude are 2 important subjects. Success brings fulfillment, and gratitude brings the actual fullness of the fulfillment. Recently I had such a situation, where I had a success with something, but because it was not all I expected, it put me in a situation of wonder, until.

It was coming up to a friend's birthday. I wanted to make the occasion. It was at a music event, and I expected her to be there. Any way the tickets sold, I could not get a place, until luckily I got an email!

So, I went and found that she was not there. Still enjoying the party, I came back in wonder. I was almost certain she would be there. So, I was in a position of success, yet not all that success.

This brings an important point, and I realized it hands on. We only get what we ask for. I wanted to go on that holiday long before realizing the possibility of my friend being there.

Success is what we define it as. And without the gratitude element, we can forget what success is about. You want to get a certain car, but don't specify the color! As such, you get what is available, and likewise in life, you need to know what success means to you.

We always get what we ask for, either consciously or unconsciously. If you want success, but fear failure, you will find the failure. It is all about what is happening inside of you, and not just about the external appearances. Such an example can be seen in sales people, who set big goals and don't achieve them and those that set them and achieve them.

Success breeds more success, gratitude breeds more gratitude, and failure breeds more of the same. It is only when you mix success and gratitude that life becomes amazing.

All too often, we find the majority doing things differently. Instead they will look at the failures and the resentments; the negative self talk, which benefits no one.

Being grateful is a simple process, and can be done, wherever you are, or in whatever circumstances. When you can be grateful for the successes in your life, you attract more of the same.

Likewise, this applies to all you do, and the more you can be grateful for the success, the more you will receive. Imagine for a moment, when you order a burger from McDonald's. What do they give you? You get a burger of course, and likewise same when you book a flight, you get the flight you want.

Success can only be what you set it out to be and nothing more or less. Life pays justly, and whatever you bargain with life, you will receive. Gratitude is one part of massive success.
