High school yearbooks are a wonderful way of
memorializing your past school years. As you flip through its pages you will remember all the great times you had
with the students and teachers of the school that year. If you would like to know more about high school yearbooks,
then read below to learn a little bit more information.

Created as far back as the 1830's, yearbooks were created with pictures of classmates and
teachers of the past school year. Ever since then, high school yearbooks have become extremely trendy and common
among all types of schools. They allow you to bring back the memories that many people cherish the most, their high
school years.

Usually, a school will
have a student yearbook committee arrange the yearbooks every year. They will be the ones who are responsible for
taking the random pictures of students, designing, formatting, organizing and selling the yearbooks of that year.
Creating a yearbook is a lot of responsibility, but it can be very exciting for students to be part of. It will
teach them many life lessons and skills including responsibility and teamwork.

High school yearbooks always show an individual picture of each student and teacher, unless of course, that
student or teacher were absent on picture day. They also always include group pictures of the students and teachers
involved in after school programs or activities, such as the high school football team, cheerleading squad, choir,
band, chess club, student council, and more.

Random pictures of the students going about their normal
classroom and school routines are also usually added into the yearbook. The students may be pictured chatting with
friends in a classroom discussion, at the library reading, eating in the cafeteria or even walking to their next
class. For those students that may be noticed for a particular attribute such as the student most likely to
succeed, the class clown or even the student with the bluest eyes, they may be voted on and put on a list
incorporated into the yearbook.

High school yearbooks usually have a page or two for autographs.
Students can use these pages to gather the signatures and phone numbers of their classmates. This happens at the
end of the year so many of the signatures will be after a short message wishing their friend the best of luck or
telling them to keep in touch.

The school chooses a publishing company to publish their annual high school yearbooks.
Yearbooks are perfect for summing up the school year so that a student can remember that year after the time
passes. They will be able to explore the book whenever they want while letting the happy distant memories come
flooding back to them.
