The World Expositions stems from the county fairs which were held regularly by the medieval Europe merchants. It at first only referred to the economical trade, but since 19th century, the business area has promoted in European and the county fair expanded gradually¡£

The exchange commodities and participated person were getting more and more, and its influence were becoming bigger and bigger. Until 1820s, this large scaled county fair was called the Expositions.

The first World Expo was held in London, 1851. At that time the British was stronger in the world and they wanted to show its national strength through a large-scale display, and that was called Great Exhibition. During this exhibition, there are about 100,000 exhibits of all industries nations.

The theme of the World Expo mostly depends on the scientific and technological achievements to cooperate with the social demand. Such as the main themes of the two World Expos which were held during the two world wars closed to "Peace" and "Build the world of tomorrow"; the environmental education has become the focal point near the 21st century.

The World Expo will take huge benefits. First, the host country could display their own products and scientific researches to overseas, promote international market and develop the international trade and technology cooperation. Besides, the host country could improve its international status through hold this international party.
