Metal includes like gold, silver and platinum etc. Jewellery of gold and silver are considered the most permitted, because we found them in the traces of centuries old civilization. Jewellery is also having some functional use such as clasps, pins and buckles etc. It is also used as the symbols to show any status or membership. Wedding dowries in some cultures are consists of jewellery. It is also consider as the main gift from the parents to their child on their marriage ceremony.

It is not the material is all which value the jewellery, but the design and the shine also the major factors of the jewellery industry. In early times there is no method for the sharpness and shine to enhance the beauty of the jewellery. But now a day with the help of modern technology we are able to produce sharper and shiner product of jewellery. Laser cutting enhance the beauty jewellery. Metal finishes give more value. There are many techniques to create finishes for the jewellery of platinum silver and gold. High-polish jewellery is the most common, because it gives the high reflection and shiny look to the metal.
