Here are 7 simple steps you need to take to build your list

1- Have an opt in form on your site that offers a quality product to generate interest.

2- Use social networking websites to promote your product or service with link back to your site that has the opt in form.

3- Recommend subscriptions in your email signature on forum postings where and when possible.

Video marketing is now the name of the game. So creat a short video that directs prospects to your opt in page.

5- Include a link to your website in articles and submit your article to article directories.

6- Join professional groups in your target market to boost traffic.

7- Link your website to other businesses to share clients and get referrals.


Things to always consider as well:


If you are using a squeeze page for your list building, You should make it gripping and compelling, making a big fat claim that arouses your visitors curiosity.

Of course if you make a bold statement you have to be able to deliver on it too. You can't just make untrue statements and force people to take action it's not only illegal, it's unethical. If you use a blog, Put your opt in form at the top of each page.

Impress your visitors by listing the benefits of subscribing. Provide special incentives, use easy-to-read fonts, eye-catching graphics, and straightforward headings on your website and in email correspondence and always give valuable information.

Give your visitors and people who join your list some free, useful information before you start selling to them. By giving free advice, you will build a good relationship with your list and show them that you want to help them and you are not just trying to make them buy your products.

Establish the problem and then let them know how your product or service can solve their problem. Tell them your story and your personal achievements and how you can help them achieve their goals tool

Deliver a message that gives prospects a strong reason to take action. Include a privacy clause, so they are comfortable subscribing.


Respect your list:

Use your list to provide information to your existing and potential clients. Always ask for feed back on your products and services, this makes your customers feel appreciated.

Offer them promotions by all means, but remember not to over-saturate them by selling, selling, selling all the time. They will get fed up with you and unsubscribe.

Don't ever forget that people who sign up to your list are real people. They have given you their details in exchange for valuable content so do not, under any Circumstances, lose that trust.

If you don't give them the value they are looking for, betray their trust and just use them as a money making tool, they will leave and never come back.
