Every year is another birthday year and naturally as your kids grow older their interests and tastes change. The type of birthday party or birthday venue your child chooses is often reflective of their personality and passions. Hosting your kid’s birthday party at an indoor play centre and birthday venue can guarantee a successful time for both adults and kids. However, when looking for a birthday party venue there are a few questions you should ask yourself to make sure that fun and fulfillment is provided for kids of all ages! Read on to find out the 7 Things You Must Know Before Choosing Your Kids Birthday Party Venue.

1. Birthday party themes mirror your child’s interests. Ask your child what kind of party they would like. If they don’t know, point out the things they like to play with and do in their spare time and plan your party idea around the things that they love.

2. Look for a venue that has themed party rooms so you have the option of dressing up. Most kids love dressing up, others are not so fussed. No matter what, it is always nice to have the option there. A venue comes alive when kids are running around in costume.

3. Check to see if the venue that you are considering caters for the age range of your child. For example, ten-pin bowling isn’t necessarily suited to a 3 year old. An indoor play centre is often suited to kids of all ages, from toddlers through to early teens.

4. Make sure that the venue is not only safe, but clean. Read reviews and go for a venue scout beforehand to make sure it fits all your requirements. If you have toddlers, make sure there is a toddler safe area that is enclosed so you don’t have to keep your eye on the kids all the time.

6. Find out what the menu is and whether or not you can bring your own birthday cake and lolly bags. Some venues are flexible with catering arrangements, others have strict policies. Importantly the food should be healthy and properly prepared in a kitchen.

7. Choose a space that doesn’t restrict your child and their friends. You want a venue where they can run around and go crazy, burn off energy, scream, let go and have fun. That is what being a kid is all about!
