Tip one: Let the driver work for you. The golf clubs are designed in such a way to make you hit the ball with precision and force. Taking the advantage of it really makes sense. In general, the beginners think that they need to drive the ball faster and farther by hitting the ball as hard as possible. An important tip to beginners is not to concern about the power of your swing. Always hit the ball with a nice even stroke by focusing to hit the ball at its center. Tip two: Visualize the swing. Execute the shot by visualizing the ball heading straight as an arrow down the course. You can make this only after a couple of practice swings. Tip five: Don't forget about your arms. Generally most of the times, the emphasis is placed on your feet position or on your trunk stability. You need to forget the role of the arms play in your swing. Try this to improve consistency in your swing. Before you go for a forward swing, go for a back swing of the club as you normally would. Don't stop there though. You need to take back swing and then swing the club forward again. Before you take rest, repeat this back and forth motion upto 10 times. You will consistently increase your accuracy by practicing this exercise as many times as possible.

Tip six: When you swing your club use a shirt on the club to handle it. This is a very old trick, which many proffessional golfing coaches teach you. A small tip is that you can slow down your swing by hanging a shirt on your club. The cause for slicing or hooking the ball is probably by swinging the driver too fast. Try to swing the club normally with a natural motion. After only a few weeks, you should observe a lot difference in the distance you hit, if you combine this tip with tip number one.

Tip seven: Lower your swing gradually. Gradually lowering your swing will help you increase the distance of the swing, but always trying to hit the golf ball the same way you swing the baseball doesn't work. Start practicing some slow baseball type swings with your club. You need to swing the club above your waist level as just like you hit a base ball. You need to increase the force of the swing gradually as if you are trying to hit the baseball into the outer center field. Now slowly lower the height of the swing until the head of the club is just touching the ground. Practice this tip as many times as possible till you master it. The you will be driving the ball more distance in no time than your buddies drive.
