2)You should always eat breakfast. By skipping breakfast your metabolism will be 4%-5% slower and it will burn a lot less fats. By having a good healthy breakfast you will actually increase your metabolic rate and you will consume a lot less food.

3)A common bad eating habit shared by many people who overeat regularly is that of eating all their food quickly. Chew your food good before swallowing it and you will eat a lot less food. You have to give your body all the time it needs to signal you that you are full and that you can stop eating. You should get into the habit of eating a lot slower each and every meal.

4)Before each and every meal you should eat something that contains a lot of fibers. The majority of veggies and fruits are good. Try eating an apple, a grapefruit or a carrot before each meal. The fibers found in them will prevent you from eating a lot of food during the meal.

5)Nobody is forcing you to eat all the food from your plate. When you feel you are full you should stop eating. You aren't in an eating competition and you will not help the starving children of the world by eating all your food. Regardless of how tasty the food is, how much you have spent on it or if you are a guest at a table, nothing should have a hold on you so powerful as to make you clean your plate and ask for more.

6)You should have forbidden foods that you will avoid eating but from time to time you should also indulge yourself and eat your favorite foods. If you don't you are more likely to binge and not stop until you ruin all the progress you have made until then. If you like chocolate have a small piece of chocolate form time to time as a reward for your good dieting behavior.

7)If you eat the same stuff day out day in you will become dissatisfied. This goes double if you are on a diet. A simple fix you could try is expanding your culinary horizon by exploring the cuisines form around the world.
