Come Christmas and you get along to sync your voice with the same old lyrics? Spice up your Christmas with something funny thins year! Try the new wine disguised in the old bottle. We change the lyrics, but keep the tune the same. Now that is what we call ‘fun’ny.
1. For the spirit of the season’s sake, let’s begin with one original funny Christmas song, the Jingle bells. This song has been an all time favourite to bring out the fun side of Christmas. Here, the song goes about saying what great fun it is to be dashing about through the white snow. But snow is slippery and that brings in the comic sense in the song.
2. A popular funny Christmas carol version of Santa Claus is coming to Town is “Daddy’s Home and I think He’s Drunk”. In the original version kids are asked not to cry or pout as Santa will be coming to town and he will judge each kid and give the present based on their behavior. In the new version, kids are warned saying daddy is totally drunk, spends all the money and he may be in a foul mood and hence not to cry or pout.

3. There are many. Many versions of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. This has been changed to suit every profession and every person on Earth. Talk about versatility. There is a programmer’s night before Christmas, a drunkard’s night before Christmas, ‘Twas the night before Christmas in jail and many more! All have been formulated to have lighter moments in life and not to offend anybody.

4. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth is one of the most adapted songs and sung by famous singers such as Mariah Carrey. It is about a kid who just wants the front teeth to grow for the Christmas than anything else. a very light hearted carol.

5. Grandma got run over by a reindeer is a very funny song where the grandma is walking home after binging a lot on egg nog. This makes her pretty unsteady and she falls. She is one person who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus. The next day at the scene of crime they find hoof print and Claus print on her back!

6. A parody of ‘I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus’ is I saw Elvis dressed as Santa Claus. In this version Elvis Presley is said to have turned up in a mall dressed up as Santa Claus. And that his trademark side burns and slim body shows that it is Elvis and not Santa.
