5 tips to find office space to let that is right for your business and employees - By: Felicity Lightbody

Finding the right office space to let is one of the most important steps for creating ties between employers and employees. The wrong office can be uncomfortable and impersonal, making it harder for employees to work efficiently or for customers to remain comfortable with their surroundings. Everyone wants to save money, so it is important to look at various options before making a quick decision. Some office desks can cost as much as £400 a month or more! Here are some tips for finding cheap office spaces:

Use Companies That Have a Ton Of Space

Since the recession, thousands of business owners now have large offices with empty seats. With this being said, the owner is still in charge of paying the rent/mortgage and monthly utilities. One way to ease their fears is to ask to rent out office space. Some business owners will allow this for a monthly fee or in return for a service being done. Renting or leasing a cubicle can also be cost effective and more personal for the employees. Some employees feel more comfortable with agents and workers who are productive in cubicles; it gives them the sense that their conversation is private between them and the employee. Most cubicles work better with certain professions such as; software coding, graphic design, content writing, accounting, etc.

Plan Ahead

Since the recession, many more contractors and self-employed workers who use a laptop to earn their living are now taking up a lot of the available office space to let them work independently. The problem is that if you act too slowly, you may lose out on great deals or get stuck in bad areas that many customers may not want to visit. The key is to rent out before the 'busy seasons' which is usually the fall and winter seasons. It may also be a good idea to hire a property agent. Sometimes, if they are a locator, they will have a ton of commercial buildings for lease in their database. They are often paid on commission and they follow what the consumer wants, such as the area and the cost budget.

Renting an office space to let yourself and employees relax while doing their work is the best way to get more productive staff. Looking at property listings is also a good idea. Online classified ads are also a good source to do a quick search online. They also may have detailed pictures as well.
