4 Low Calorie Alcoholic Drink Choices - By: Craig Peck

Most Americans I speak with love to pick the parts of the Mediterranean diet they like such as the wine and discard your rest-like the walking, your little friend portions and the lack of fatty and salty snack foods. It's like picking the portions of the Atkins diet-unlimited meats, cheese and other excessive calorie fatty foods, and then sneaking in the bread or pasta. It just doesn't' work.

Drinking alcohol is often Accompanied by Eating Bad Snacks.

The united states alcohol is accompanied as a result of some high calorie, salty and fatty snacks with virtually no portion control It's this chips, crackers, trail mixes, pretzels, nuts, cheese, and wings that add most of the calories. Many of the snacks are salty which makes people thirstier, guess precisely what they do? They just drink better.. and it's not mineral water!

Alcohol consumption Makes Portion Control Difficult therefore Stimulates Appetite.

Drinking suppresses control, the brain's capacity say it has had enough-of both alcohol and food. At the exact same time it makes most people more hungry. The combination of more hunger with less control is incredibly dangerous for some dieters. No doubt the lowering of inhibitions and will power that follows sipping may account for many of the problems including not only the massive amount bad snacks, but the wrong choices in entrees and much large portions. Compare the calories after a few glasses of wine within a small French restaurant and try the same inside Cheesecake Factory! Recent studies reveal that drinking an individual glass of alcohol is associated with an average increase with 120 calories!

Liquor and Mixes Have Enormous Calories-NOT Acceptable in the HCG Diet

The mixes used in alcoholic drinks are full of sugar. This is a "NO-NO" in the HCG Diet. Just the mix alone may very well be twice the calories with the hard liquor. Look at a Pina Colada for 300-400 calories, a Margarita for 300 calories or a simple gin and tonic or even vodka and cranberry liquid at 250 calories. The alcohol part of all of these drinks was no more than 95 calories. Take a look at the mixes-all are carbs filled with rapidly absorbed sugar that resulted on immediately around your abdomen. Sugar content easily is greater then 30 grams in some of these mixes.

Alcohol Stops Fat Burning- It Decreases Your Metabolism and may Interfere with HCG's Effect on Metabolism

Once we eat protein, fat, or even carbs, some of the food is burned immediately and a few of it is stashed for future use. Nevertheless, this does not occur when drinking alcohol. Alcohol is used for metabolism first, and is used for energy until all of the alcohol is gone from the blood stream. As it's happening, the body can't use protein, fat or even carbs for metabolism and turns them into fat. Less than 5 percent of the alcohol calories you drink are converted into fat. The beer belly occurs not because alcohol is turned into fat but because for long periods of time the alcohol instead in the stored fat, is being used for energy. Remember, what is not burned turns to help fat, and if alcohol is just about, everything you eat turns to fat.
