Bloomberg is one of the best financial television stations available for anyone looking for investment information, as this channel gives investment tips and information from all over the world. It is also a good location to start if you are thinking about diving into currency trading in the future. The application, which is free to download and install, gives you all the information you may need for an investment portfolio. You are able to monitor stocks you have purchased, on top of currencies, commodities and bonds. This application gives you up to date information on all stocks in the world, not to mention potential game changing announcements going on throughout the world. When you select a specific stock you have all information you'll ever need about the stock, plus the current news regarding the stock, all right on your hands, without making any specific selection in order to be taken to a different website. This is all up to the second news, so you are never left in the dust about a possible investment.

This application is brought to you by Yahoo, and works much like the Yahoo Financial and Money applications found on the search engine. Here you are able to look up a particular stock, find out the latest news headlines, and go directly to the news source, if you are interested in the headline. This application is not as comprehensive as the Bloomberg application, but it has a nice layout and gives you all the basic information of any desired stock.

There are other possibilities out there, these three are however the most widely used and widely accepted applications for the iPad, most have an alternative Android app and web portal you can also use to montitor, for ultimate transferability.
