The Mayan calendar has proven to be really accurate in foretelling lots of things occuring in our world but the one which has got people thinking is the one about December 21, 2012. It says that on this day, the sun will rise in the center of our universe in the Dark Rift. The Dark Rift is also called the Black Hole and it is thought this can have a big effect on our world. Will be a good one or a bad one is something we should wait and see. Will the world truly come to an end or will it just be a new beginning that will change the globe.

some people believe that as the sun and the black hole will be in perfect alignment on December 21, 2012, the opposing gravitational pull of the sun and the black hole can have terrible effects on the earth. Some even say that there may be a pole shift causing major rise in sea levels, earthquakes that lasts for minutes, tsunamis, for example. This paints a very frightful psychological picture and plenty of people believe this may actually happen either steadily or within moments.

These predictions weren't just manufactured by the Mayans but similar theories have been put forth by a couple of other prophecies too. All indicate an end but some optimists accept that it can be a new beginning. What sort of beginning? Will it be a change for the better or worse? These are questions that cannot be answered with certainty. One belief says the world has already been created and wrecked four times and that at this time, we are in the transition phase for the 5th world that might come after 2012. One thing that keeps getting mentioned is that the sun will be much hotter and the polar shift.

Some new age theories believe that the date could signal a consciousness shift to more counter-cultural sympathies and toleration. We can only hope that it doesn't bring doom to our little planet and instead make the world more positive with its energy. The magnetic influence of the sun and the black hole will bring in a new state and we will start a new transition on December twenty-one, 2012. It is assumed that this cycle of 26,000 years has occurred before where a lot has perished. The query now is whether we'll survive it.

maybe this transition which cannot be controlled by the most powerful of nations will bring the world together. We should all awaken to things that are actually significant and try and make any small difference that we can. While nourishment of the earth is at stake, there's not much we will be able to do to what is about to come our way but we are able to nevertheless make tiny changes in the way we live before that happens. Time alone will let us know if we will see a new world after 2012 or if we will see it at all .
