Or they take a half teaspoon of Hing, mix it with a whole teaspoon of oil, then rub it in the abdomen. They usually use this remedy on babies who cant digest breast milk fast enough.

Rock salt is used by Indians to remove blockages in their intestines. When the movement of your bowels is slow, this increases the incidence of flatulence. What Indians do is take limbo pani (lemon water) with salt & pepper to alleviate their flatulence. Use it in small quantities only. Take note that only black salt will work, not table salt or sea salt.

Another common remedy is ginger, which acts as a carminative agent. It produces a perceptible warmness in the stomach which is a sign that it is working. There are some other means where gas gets out of the intestines. One is through the absorption into the intestine lining then into the blood and eventually breathed out by the lungs. Another way is by being consumed by another type of bacteria inside the intestine.

Most of the gas is removed through this process.Still, the best cure is always prevention. Make sure that you masticate your food properly; chewing is the first part of digestion. By experience, avoid food that causes you indigestion. Walk leisurely after a meal as this will help prevent the accumulation of gas.
