OSHA has recommended Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to the occupational safety and health for workers. When required by OSHA standards, workers must receive extra training on the specific hazards of the job.

The OSHA 10 hour training has been designed by the OSHA Training Institute in order to help workers understand the basic practice of recognizing, reducing, reporting or even eliminating the hazards associated with their workplace.

The 10 hour course OSHA course program is broken into OSHA 10 hour construction course and OSHA 10 hour General Industry course.

OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Safety Course is recommended for workers, foreman, job inspectors and supervisors. Participants are introduced to OSHA procedures, policies and standards and the general industry safety and health principles according to the OSHA 29 CFR 1910. The OSHA 10 hour construction course is designed to provide construction workers, personnel and supervisors training and knowledge about the tools required in their worksites for their health and safety. This 10 hour course for construction workers targets the most common topics covered under 29CFR.1926. At the end, there is a final exam which the participants have to take to complete the whole course successfully. In order to clear the final exam, participants must secure minimum 70%. If required, the participants can take the final exam three times if they are not able to clear the first time. After completing the 10-hour OSHA training successfully, participants will get the certificate of completion as well as the official OSHA course completion wallet card.
