International schools came in to existence during the last decade. International Baccalaureate is a worldwide recognized educational board. There were only two kinds of schools before IB, one was private schools and other was government schools. Both these schools might be residential or normal schools and function for 6 to 8 hours.

The international schools are different although it is a privately owned and managed schools but different from other private schools. There are many aspects that give international schools an edge over other private schools.

Under grade 5 students come into lower school program. The faculty of lowers school program instill love of learning, a curiosity about the world and a sense of respect and liability towards others among a child. Students are encouraged to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually in a setting that promotes individuality, eagerness and curiosity. The main aim for the lower school students is to learn how to question, how to think, how to response.

The Middle school Program is for children from grade 6 to grade 10. The Middle School years offer a particularly important phase of personal and rational development that helps students participate actively and responsibly in a changing and increasingly interrelated world. Learning how to respond and how to evaluate and calculate information in different circumstances is an important learning fact. They also study the subjects from each of the subject groups through the IB's five areas of interaction. It includes approaches to learning, community and service, human ingenuity, environment, and health and social education.

The upper school Program is for children who are at grade 11 and grade 12. It is the requirement from every student to take Hebrew in order to fulfill foreign language conditions. Students may select for both Hebrew and Spanish. Bible, Ethics, Nach, Jewish Advocacy, Tefilah and Talmud comprise the basis of the Judaic Studies program. Through the Study of Sacred Text, in combination with classroom discussions, students develop the knowledge, skill and values. Hillel believes Upper School students must reach these skills in order to deepen their commitment to Judaism, the Jewish People and the State of Israel.

The primary aim of the examinations conducted by the International schools is to test the knowledge not the speed. The basic framework followed by these schools is different from the rest of schools.

It is also surprising to know that there are no examinations till you reach the upper school education. The school concentrates more on enabling the students to understand “how to learn” rather than “what to learn”.
