As a costal town, one of Malaga’s specialties is seafood. Red mullet, whiting, fresh anchovies are just some of the foods you’ll find an abundance of at the markets.
Your visit to Malaga will not be complete if you do not try the all-famous “ajo blanco gazpacho” (made with garlic, almonds and grapes) – a traditional dish of the Andalusian region.
Another great dish to sample is sardines grilled on bamboo spits over charcoal. Simply exquisite!

Nearby places to visit

Tourist attractions located near Malaga include the famous coastal resorts of Marbella and Torremolinos, both of which are known for their beautiful sandy beaches and lively nightlife.

The city of Granada on the northeastern side of Malaga, too, is worth traveling to in your car rental.
