Regular consumption of a well balanced diet followed by regular exercises help in successful weight loss and cholesterol free life. Don’t forget to eat a wide variety of foods containing all the vitamins and minerals necessary to keep your body healthy. So, consume more green, yellow and orange vegetables. Avoiding high calorie foods and including baked and a pasta recipe with whole grains in your diet is good for your health. It is always recommended to avoid sugary snacks and sweets; at the same time eating fruits and berries will satisfy your cravings for sweets too. Always be careful with sauces and other foods that contain colored and artificial flavored ingredients that are harmful for your body. Processed meats, sausages, hot dogs and fast foods with saturated fats and nitrates should also be avoided.

Junk food items such as ice cream, potato chips, tortilla chips and candy keep out of the house. Use healthy snacks similar to fruits, crispy vegetables with dips or nuts handy. In addition, try to avoid unhealthy foods such as deep and battered fried foods; greasy snack chips; frozen fried fish sticks and chicken; refined pasta and white bread; processed lunch meats; and sugary breakfast cereals. Limit or avoid the drinking of sugary sodas and soft drinks. For preparing foods, use healthy cooking oils such as olive and canola oils. Eat baked goods or pasta made from whole grains.

Consuming ocean fishes that are rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega 3-fatty acid and preparing dishes with vegetable oils rich in Omega-6-fatty acids (olive oils and canola) are also good for your heart. If you are a lover of meat dishes, then shop for lean meats like bison, lean turkey, chicken etc than high fatty beef. Rather than deep frying, try to eat fish and chicken after baking. Stick to vegetable and fruit juices and drink plenty of water every day. Other healthy foods include low fat milk, dried fruits, nuts, grass fed beef, seeds, legumes, soy beverages, lettuce, and so on. Kids are advised to stay away from sugary sodas, greasy chips, white bread, frozen fried corn dogs and fish sticks, refined pasta etc that are hazardous to their body.
